In 2017, OSI Industries demonstrated a commitment to sustain its trademark quality through a reorganization of OSI’s cooperate governance composition. The company created the position of a Chief Sustainability Officer to oversee the sustainable expansion of operations. Nicole Johnson-Hoffman, an expert with a rich experience in business, took over the position. The primary role of Nicole Johnson-Hoffman is to oversee the sustainability of global strategies and come up with a guide that the company code-named “strategic intention about the varied perspectives of sustainability.” The guide will provide a road map throughout all OSI industries supply chain networks.

Before her appointment as Chief Sustainability Officer, Johnson-Hoffman was a senior vice president at OSI. She also served at Global Roundtable for Sustainable Beef as the Vice president. Upon her appointment, she explained her vision and philosophy of leadership regarding the new role. Johnson-Hoffman told the National Provisioner that sustainability comes through a focus on many crucial aspects. It is a program and not a single initiative. Sustainability is holistic and progressive.
