The president and other private donor organizations have been trying to push back by endorsing the Republican candidate Rick Saccone.

The opening for the 18th state representative seat in Pennsylvania came about after the last Republican representative had to step out of office after having an extra marital affair and pushing his mistress to get an abortion, even though he has an anti-abortion stance. The last election that the former representative ran in there wasn’t even a democrat candidate who went against him due to the fact that the area is typically more Republican and conservative.

Conor Lamb is aware that the congressional district leans more conservative but he also is aware that there are plenty of moderate voters in the district as well. He’s focusing his campaign on a variety of issues that people in the district are concerned about to appeal to the variety of hooters to live in the area. Some of the issues he hopes to address are the hair when crisis, job creation, affordable healthcare, protecting Medicare and Social Security, reforming the student loan system, energy development, and supporting unions. His campaign has gained the attention and endorsement from the grassroots organization End Citizens United. They have raised $100,000 for Lamb’s campaign in grassroots donations. Lamb has pledged to not take any corporate PAC donations for his campaign. This is a stark contrast to Republican candidate Rick Saccone who has been taking private donations from big donors to fund hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of campaign advertising. The ECU president Tiffany Muller stated that by taking the no corporate pack pledge Conor Lamb is cementing that his campaign is for the people and not for corporations.
